IPL Schedule Guide: Dates and Time Zones
The IPL section focuses on scheduled start times and time zones. Confirm the fixture’s displayed zone before adding it to your local match plans.
This section explains IPL and cricket information. Use the competition website for current fixtures and results, and consult the relevant service for its viewing rights and availability.

Start with the displayed time zone
A start time is only useful with its date and zone. India Standard Time is UTC+5:30. A website may display IST, another named zone or a time converted to your device; read the label before doing another conversion.
A simple conversion example
If a fixture is explicitly listed for 14:00 UTC, that corresponds to 19:30 IST on the same date. This is an illustrative conversion, not a scheduled IPL match. For a real fixture, check the current competition listing and any postponement notice.
Follow a match in context
- Confirm the teams, match date and competition before interpreting a score.
- Read the innings label, runs, wickets and overs together. Check whether the display says live, innings break or result.
- For a chase, read the target and any revised conditions before calculating what remains.
Sports labels and Android help
A Cricket category identifies a sport; a scorecard describes a match. Neither tells you which Android file is installed. Keep match reading separate from app installation, account recovery and update checks.
Work through the cricket example
Read the date and time-zone label before using an IPL start time. A website can show IST, UTC or a value adjusted to your device, so check the display before converting it.
